DEALING WITH CORONAVIRUS IN THE WORKPLACE POLICY
***UPDATED 1 February 2021***
OFFICE RE-OPENED
Acme Building Consultants are back working from the office as of 18 Jan 2021. We are implementing a Covid safe plan and policies for all our office staff and visitors. A copy can be found here.

INFECTION CONTROL MEASURES
We strongly encourage our staff and clients to follow guidelines from the World Health Organisation on infection control, both whilst at work and in your daily life. These include:

-
frequently cleaning your hands by using alcohol-based hand sanitiser or soap and water
-
when coughing and sneezing, covering your mouth and nose with flexed elbow or tissue, throwing this tis sue away immediately and washing your hands, and
-
avoiding close contact with anyone who has fever and cough.

SOCIAL DISTANCING MEASURES
We are strictly observing the advice from the Premier of Victoria, Dan Andrews, as per the Statement from the Premier, both in the office and on site.
Where the circumstances presented on site do not allow for this to happen safely, the inspector will abandon the inspection.

REMOTE WORKING PRACTICE
Office operations
Although our office has re-opened, from time to time, staff members may be working remotely.
We expect that operations will run as normally as possible in an environment where staff are operating remotely.

Face to face Meetings
Our staff will not be available for face to face meetings without prior arrangement. Contact via phone / video call / email is always preferred.

Inspections
Inspection bookings are being taken as normal. Our inspectors will be advised to maintain a clear distance of at least 1.5m during any inspection in line with current health authority advice and government policies.
Where conditions are deemed to be an unnecessary risk because of the number of people on site, the inspector will have the discretion to call off the inspection.

Harassment/bullying
We operate a zero-tolerance policy to all forms of harassment and bullying in the workplace. We will not tolerate any unacceptable behaviour to colleagues, suppliers, members of the public etc. Any complaints of this nature will be investigated in line with our usual policy and may result in disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal.
We continue to access information and monitor the situation through:
